At last, a proper grid has appeared. Well done Mr Nim :-)
Thought the colours group was weak but the others were right bobby dazzlers.

Thanks. It's very hard to get all 4 strong groups, but that is my ultimate aim. I realised the colour group was weak.

Sorry Barnaby, I'm sick of these comments and will remove them at least until you post some grids so that others can hold you to your own standards.

Did Barnaby say something not nice about my grid? :(
(13 years, 11 months ago)
Barnaby
Yes, I had some criticism, and puzzGrid couldn't bear it.
While most of my criticisms -- and especially the one puzzGrid, censored here by outright deleting it -- have been pointed and on the money, puzzGrid insists I bother to put up puzzles so that resentment can flourish.
Pathetic, hair-brained and insidious.

Stick it to the haters.
Come on Barnaby. Show us your grids.
(13 years, 11 months ago)
Barnaby
See? There's a little dimwit that calls himself Dagenhampstead; he wants nothing more than a chance to criticize purely out of resentment.
My critiques are valid.
These pathetic and laughable fools just want to get some sort of revenge.

Sudo Nim
I didn't see your criticism Barnaby, but I suspect it was removed because it wasn't particularly constructive.
I'm happy to receive criticism because that's how I'll get better, but I need to know not only what you think is wrong, but why it's wrong and how it could be better.
Others appear to like this grid.
(13 years, 11 months ago)
Barnaby
You didn't see the criticism and yet you "suspect" this and that....
Bullshit.
You would like to believe that there was a valid reason to remove it and that there could be no reason to criticize. And so you are really "happy" to "suspect" these things. This is entirely understandable. And entirely transparent.
And amounts to nothing more than a massive, heaping, steaming pile of bullshit.
It was removed by a fool because the fool is a reactionary. Allay your suspicions.

Puzzgrid - I totally support you in removing the silly and critical comments. Thanks.
This was a nice grid overall.
(13 years, 11 months ago)
Sudo Nim
The suspect comes from two things:
1. Your history of writing non-constructive comments.
2. My belief that puzzGrid wouldn't remove a comment without reason.#
Repeat your criticism, constructively, without resorting to aggressive, insulting and childish behaviour. Stop throwing your toys out of the pram and discuss it with us like an adult.

Barnaby why do you have to be so abusive all the time?
People have taken time and trouble to submit these grids. What does it matter if sometimes they are not perfect? That's what the rating system is for - you can mark them on quality, without ranting on and being abusive.
You are spoiling this otherwise enjoyable site - grow up please and stop acting like a spoilt child.

Thanks for the comments. I want this to be a generally fun positive environment, as a GAME ought to be. Censorship is a heavyhanded way to achieve this, but sometimes necessary. Barnaby, I do insist that you "bother to put up puzzles". If you can't be bothered to do that you really have no right to criticise those kind people who do.
(13 years, 11 months ago)
Spacebard
I enjoyed this one. I guessed "quartz" for the colours group, which also works and is more specific than "colours".

Barnaby
"I want this to be a generally fun positive environment"
You are a liar.
Well, really just an an idiot who has been made to lie in such a bold-faced and laughable way that it is a joy.
"Barnaby, I do insist that you "bother to put up puzzles". If you can't be bothered to do that you really have no right to criticise those kind people who do"
You've never insisted that anyone else who criticizes must put up puzzles. So full of shit, you are.
You've never had a problem with others who don't put up puzzles criticizing... you are just simply full of shit.
And, most hilarious of all, is your dunce-boy, aw-shucks claim that you want a "generally fun positive environment" while in the very same breath you are "insisting" that I put up puzzles -- you want me to put up puzzles for no other reason than to give the many mediocrities that pump out the junk puzzles around here a chance to get some blind, waiting vengeance.
The truth is you've been made a fool of again. And no matter how many sycophantic dolts come and climb up in your lap and lick your face... you know that that is the truth.
One, thing, though (just to brighten your day): I have had quite a bit of fun here lately getting you to continually put your foot in it.
So fun has been had! ;)

Nah, you've had fun trolling. Further troll posts get deleted. Express your displeasure with the ratings, please. Yes, I'm singling you out. Tough.

Hi Puzzgrid, please can you delete abusive and obnoxious comments from posters as they spoil the threads. I understand 'free speach' and all that but I think that these are plain rude. Regards, Mo
(13 years, 11 months ago)
Sudo Nim
I'd still like to know what your criticism is Barnaby - but there's no need to express it rudely.
I genuinely want to post grids that people enjoy and think are good - if there are specific things about this one that are a problem please tell me.
(13 years, 11 months ago)
Barnaby
"I'd still like to know what your criticism is Barnaby..."
That's a shame then isn't it? A shame that the asshole who deleted my criticism without you ever having seen it.
"...but there's no need to express it rudely."
And a shame, too, that you assume or suspect or whatever benefit of the doubt you want to give the asshole (and probably the meddling, whiny, whinnying busybodies that prompted the asshole) that my criticism it was in need of deleting.
It was a perfectly valid criticism.
I shouldn't be bothered to give you any criticism -- what with your cozying up to the idiots, as the asshole has done, you paint yourself an idiot too -- but I will repeat the gist of it because your latest puzzle has been an improvement reflected along the very lines:
You said "It's very hard to get all 4 strong groups, but that is my ultimate aim. I realised the colour group was weak."
You realized the puzzle was weak. And lamented that it was "very hard" to compose a proper puzzle. I suggested you try harder because junk is junk. Weak is weak. And there is no call for it. And that you could do better... and feel better about it.
Then the asshole came and deleted this wisdom.
And pathetically you played at assuming the asshole was right to do so -- sight-unseen -- yet still all-along knew that my criticism was something you wished you'd been able to get to.
In the future, you might consider how siding with idiots and assholes puts you, squarely and mundanely, in with the idiots and assholes.

Isn't it ironic when somebody does nothing but whinge and complain about grids and then carries on doing them anyay?
Puzzgrid - I find these numpty posts against the spirit of the board and I would be obliged (and grateful) if you could remove them once and for all. Don't give them the light of day...
