Very clever, not sure it will be a popular grid, but I liked it. Got the chemical elements and US states in about 20 seconds, but then couldn't get the rest at all, leaving me on 4/10. Tough, challenging, but pretty fun.

Andy thanks for the feedback very much appreciated. I realise it was going to be tough because its different, but different doesn't make it bad. I tried after a couple of beers and messed it up !

A good idea and welcome bit of originality but might have worked better if all groups had been a sequence (or a sum total) and all groups were genuinely upper case letters (although FE and SN are strong hints the other group is less so). I'd rather get a low score from a tricky one than 10/10 in 20 seconds.

I liked it. Didn't work out the sports, although tug of war should have helped. I was a little miffed that it didn't accept "tonic solfa" for the do, re, mi one, but still fun.

Fiendish, until you cotton on to what's required.

I don't think the sports row really worked, as the letters are not common or standardised abbreviations for the sports in question. Making the link between an abbreviation to a sport and then to the number of players is a bridge too far IMO.

Also, the solfege row should accept "notes".
