There are two many valid combinations of black. It should only have one legitimate one. Otherwise its more about guessing what it is the grid designers mind!

@Jack, no it shouldn’t. The objective of this game is to find 4 sets of matching clues. If the sets don’t overlap then there’s no challenge.

The "only one legitimate" answer rule only applies if groups are interchangeable. Otherwise they are perfectly valid red herrings/ crossovers.

This will sound pedantic (I'm in good company here though!) - but Stereotypical Teenager should not have a capital T in this context, and as it did I assumed it was part of a band name (with Sabbath, Leopard). Clever grid though :-)

@Jack - you're right. Berry, Beard, and Prince can be Mary or Black. There are 3 different legitimate solutions. Of course the sets overlap, but they can't overlap to the extent that there are multiple solutions like what's happening here.

Panther is not a species of big cat. Panthera is a genus, which includes lions, leopards etc.
