Quite easy but good fun.

A few points:
• "Q8" (kew-ate) is not a homophone of Kuwait (koo-wate).
• Turkey is not a homophone either; it's the exact same word.
• Pick either cartoon characters or hidden body parts as a connection, not both. It's redundant.

Since when is 'hot' the opposite of 'out of form' or 'passive'?

Lindybeige - Google definitions of hot then come back to me. Thanks.
a - Part of making this quizzes involves creating options that can fall into multiple categories, it increases the difficult. If you like, there are easier quizzes available on here that maybe more suited to you.
Lindyhop - Thanks for your well thought out feedback.
John - A few response. I, and the rest of Scotland, pronounce it Q-8. Your country may pronounce it differently. Turkey is deliberately easy and obvious so that some people may look past it. Sounds like this worked. If that's how you'd categorise cartoon characters/body parts then fair but this is how I've done mine. Thanks.
NiceGuySi - Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
mal - Without being overly pedantic, you can see the connections obviously. As above, some of them were meant to be obvious to catch out those who overthink. Sounds like it worked again.

Wow- seems like a lot of unfair criticism for this grid- I can see what you've done and why, and agree that sometimes tripping people up with a simple answer ca be better form than being overly obscure. Re- the soundalikes- as you didn't actually use the term homophone anywhere, I think its ok to add a homograph. I'm RP and got them, no brogue required. I liked that the body parts group was double layered and this degree of detail, to me, justified the simplicity of "the brain". I do slightly agree that passive may not work but that's more a query than a rant as you may have seen something I haven't- Hot may mean oppressive but in weather terms, not sure if it works backwards? Passive weather? Unless there's another form, if so, apologies. Sorry to go on for a long one but it irks me a bit when you get a group jumping one initial criticism and it becomes a bit of a cluster. Seems unfair, especially on a pretty good grid. Participation leads to appreciation- critics should have a go themselves. All the best to you :)
