There are clues however. Stewie immediately clues you into Family Guy and Peter means that it's either meant to be a red herring or it definitely is the group; Consuela and Death are the only other names on the board and Consuela is a Mexican name, designed to put the idea of Mexico, however faintly, in the player's head.

Famine and Death clue you into the four horsemen. Knowing the colours associated with the horses is a level of a quizzer's general knowledge I would expect to complete a fiendish grid.

It's common practice to look at the beginnings and endings of words to see if they contain smaller words that are connected. Sol and Corona are very well known Mexican beers in the UK, Bohemia and Superior are less well known but still quite familiar.

Solmization is a system of associating each note of a scale with a particular syllable. The answer to the last grid is literally on the board.
