As for the "offensive" allegation..I would just say to the accuser one word "context"...but we do live in strange times!

Not getting involved in whether it’s offensive or not, but I have never come across it in the context of the solution...

More than half of this grid consists of terms that could ostensibly be "used to denigrate people", in fact, an entire group is based explicitly on denigrating people, and yet you've picked this particular hill to die on. Get a grip and google "euphemism treadmill".

Sorry about the offense; I only wanted as many words that meant "little" as I could in the wall. I've never heard of Tiny Golf - ABSOLUTELY would have used that if I'd known about it. I got my list from the wikipedia page of miniature golf, which doesn't include tiny golf.

I hugely apologise if I have offended anyone, especially those afflicted with restricted growth. Hope it didn't ruin anyone's enjoyment of the quiz...!

I agree with OSSIEP9. The key thing is context. Some people are far too keen to be offended and these people offend me!

I like how no one has actually answered what the downside of using another term is. People getting offended over others being offended....ridiculous!

the term midget has been applied to small things and animal breeds also. Sometimes words are just words. Intention is everything.
