Not bad, but ‘blankety’ doesn’t have that meaning.

Blankety was a crafty one- it works at a stretch but you need a sense of humour! The question I always ask of stretchy clues or little errors is- did it interfere with play? Could you still get the group? Does it add anything? For me the answers were no, I got it, and yes it made it fun, less boring and quite funny. And it got people talking! :)

Fire blank is tenuous

Tricky, but fun.

Agree entirely with Lorna about 'blankety' but I'm struggling with 'rounded.' Not sure that one adds anything, or fits the group. Maybe 'moss-covered' instead, for a revolting crossover with the wisdom group?

Thank you for that well-thought out assessment, Joe.

I'm slowly learning to ignore the dickheads, Keir. Spend your energy on your ideas! :) :)

Trust me, Lorna, I try to ignore them. But having to put up with so much unwanted and unhelpful comments, it starts to grate on you.
I don't expect people to have to like all my walls, but they can at least point out something they don't like? It's not like I can go back and edit it.

Maybe don't read the comments? I try to leave constructive comments, sometimes they are negative. Taking feedback well is much harder than giving it well. That being said, Joe needs to try a lot harder. I personally enjoyed the grid, and had no problems (not useful feedback either!)😀

Thanks Verr, I have noticed that you do leave well balanced (pos and neg) comments, and that when you are critical, it is always constructive. I hope that others with something a bit negative to say could be like that. Reading the comments page, as a setter, can become addictive! Sensible, but hard, to avoid it- it can inform future grids and peoples tastes- give a feel for the demographic- but sometimes we have to wade through people being abusive for their own entertainment (moreso others than Joe) but it is easy to dismiss those when you understand that they are just working on their own issues with the world- after all we are complete strangers to them- why so angry?- and as such we can just figuratively not make eye contact just as we would if someone were spouting filth at us in the street. Oh the wonders of the internet! Such a precious resource ;) Keep it up Keir, good lad, sorry to use your grid to soap box on again!!!
