Good grid although the bonnet group was a little obscure for me...not heard of the term War Bonnet and Graham was a rather obscure reference to a rock singer from the 80's who I was aware of but wasn't expecting to see references in here

I find grids that are all wordplay (particularly all prefix/suffix) with lots of crossovers end up being nothing more than a guessing game.

Hmmm- there is a technique and a logic to it- I agree I don't like just guessing- I ALWAYS try to offer a first handhold per group. I agree this type can sometimes be frustrating if people don't do that. Trick is to seek out the unique, stand alone clues and overlook the obvious, in your face links. Should invite you to think a bit rather than guess. There were a hell of a lot of crossovers in this one but also some first threads. Thanks for your comment :)
