Dear Andy,
I would like to make two points if I may.
Firstly, I do not enjoy puzzles like this either. I much prefer the “traditional” TV type.
Secondly, I’m not a knob about it. I simply don’t do them. No-one is damaged by this approach.

My stars, that was hard. I got 6 points, solved all 4 groups, but only got the links for two of them. You are very good at this, and you gave my brain the best workout it's had in a long time!
