I'll take 6/10 on a fiendish one, friends group foxed me, I just put tv shows, which though right wasn't your link, and I should have got the copperfield one I just David in my head and that was that!! Great grid ty

The Hugh Laurie one was ridiculously obscure given he made a single guest appearance on Friends and two uncredited ones on Spooks. "TV show" should have been an acceptable answer.
"Magic" should be an acceptable answer for the magicians row.
