Enjoyed it thanks. I like the way these can be educational - I correctly guessed 'tie', but had never heard of a 'hog tie'.

@Mark B more often heard in past tense as in being "hog tied" not a mans clothing accessory. Nice one Lorna, felt as if I was in a fishing village with all those references lol. Failed miserably on completing the wall but got 3 links thought buffet, bow and wound should have had a companion for homowotsits [graphs]. thank you

smack, box, duck, club, buffet, wound etc were there as false leads- duck, club, wound, box, buffet etc and especially bow (3 groups) were all homographs but used for their meaning rather than as a group; yes "hog tie" is a verb rather than a noun. Oh to be in a small fishing village! Glad you had some success :)

Stumped by never having heard of the Hog connection.....nice grid.

Good ta. There was a spell a few weeks ago when puzzles were appearing every other minute - none of them any good. I assume lockdown boredom was responsible but I bailed for a while.
