Caught and Court are only homophones in certain accents in England, which don't pronounce the R. The rest of the world pronounces the R.
Google rhotic & non-rhotic.

That is true enough, Dr Pedant- in the setter's defence-
when I use homophones I tend to include the dictionary pronunciation guide to save arguments; I found this:
caught/kɔːt/ court/kɔːt/ it has saved me a lot of hassle on the comments page. Ta! :)

Very good. And the homophones are all homophones. Despite Dr 'Speechim' Pediment trying to justify his mispronunciation. As all words sound slightly different in different accents there are NO universal homophones.
If you want to be a pedant, at least get it right!
