Great- had 30 secs left despite not getting every reference- the discreet grouping and anagrams were enough, so it was satisfying :)

j- some of your grids are on the 2 stars list, despite being excellent- someone has marked you down without being decent enough to say why! I'm not sure if it is all of the grids which you are missing? It's a real shame and a drawback of the scoring system on this site, you're an excellent grid maker and deserve better than that, I'm sorry love. :)

thanks lorna, they are 33850, 33845, 33844, 33842. It is morning here and I noticed they disappeared overnight. They originally disappeared yesterday after I first sumbitted them and I had to redo them. Now the second lot have disappeared. I wondered if they are only invisible to me?

I highly recommend jmelb's grids to anyone who didn't get a chance to see them- please do seek them out (the numbers below), and do give them a fair score- it looks like she has been unfairly marked down on some really great grids- it would be a shame if you missed playing them because of this!

Yeah j- I've seen some of my favourite setters get 3*, whilst a non- unique grid, or an easy as wee one with zero crossovers gets a 4. It isn't fair, but I've learned to care less about stars and more about little exchanges like this- the few of us who give each other a bit of appreciation- setters or players- and the fact that we can have a good fun game from half the world away whilst stuck indoors! My pleasure - to J have you clicked on the drop down box whrn selecting 'Browse Grids' There are more drop down boxes here allowing you to choose the difficulty level etc and one with the 3* rating. Click on that and select 1* if your grid seems to have disappeared. I am not underline not advocating manipulating the score by playing your own grid and awarding it 5* as many times as it takes to raise the * level to at least 3. You [not I of course ] would have to do that numerous times.

Wish you guys would quit with the crossword type clues. If I want to do a crossword I would do a crossword. Especially as decent crosswords have a rigid methodology and logic not shoehorned gobbledygook.

Crafty, stjohn! I will have a look at way of finding grids-wasnt aware of that. Actually I probably will just let the troll take my score down though and adopt lorna's view about not caring. It would be letting them win. If anyone likes my grid I am happy if they just say so and I will ignore the rest. These are a bit of a lifesaver at the moment being indoors all the time. Re the like a crossword complaint - I think it's a fair point as you can take your time with a cryptic clue whereas with these grids there is a time limit. Just my opinion, appreciate others will think differently.
