nice one.

Congrats
Well put together.
Was sure Plummer was Christopher, and ignored it.
Tampered & Travolta group is very clever.

Hampton Quimbles
Hampton had to guess this one. Excellent grid.

Got more on this than I do most medium walls but SI units I would never have got in a million years haha. I like the Jurassic Park crossover trick!

Mister Tom
Loved it!

Andrew
Spotted the Fives 1st, which made the rest straightforward. Good otherwise.
(9 years, 1 month ago)
Think!!!
I was wondering about , Jurassic car south hyde. I didn't know central
And the flux, Travolta, swatted, tampered. I guessed at John.
Good red herrings

My limited cultural awareness let me down. I could see that there was a group based on fives, but only knew two of the bands, and I'd never have got the actors. Parks were relatively easy after I saw "Car". I also struggled to spot the last two units, so overall I struggled with this, but it was a good wall.

liked the si units, but no good on bands. Kept thinking, Christopher Plummer isn't in Pulp Fiction........

Really good grid! Hidden stuff clever and spotted last minute. I loved this puzzle.

Lost a point because I put actors in the category actors in pulp fiction.

Units category very clever would never have got it though!

Bah! lost points b/c I put in tarantio instead of pulp fiction
(7 years ago)
Lee
Found this one pretty easy. Once I'd eliminated Travolta from the Pulp Fiction group, there wasn't anywhere to go with it other than looking for other units. The 5's and parks really stood out.

difficult and then some

SI units? Little much yeah?

Loved that Pulp Function did not include Travolta or Jackson.

I don't really like ones such as the Swatted line, but maybe it's just my unfamiliarity with this type of puzzle. Very good apart from that!

I didn't get the SI units one, but I thought it was very clever

This was superb. Best one so far. Pulp fiction Red Herrings were great. As were the SI units.

Grrr - I absolutely got that one row had amp, watt, volt and lux and knew they all had something to do with electricity/energy -but it marked me incorrect because I have never heard of the term SI and didn't use this in the answer. Victoria would totally have let me have the point....
(5 years, 10 months ago)
Speshil
Good grid, but need to loosen answer criteria - the VOLT, AMP etc. answer seemed too tight.
(5 years, 8 months ago)
Bloomy
Knew three of the four in two rows
Not sure about lux and jurassic

I think not accepting actors who have worked with Quentin Tarantino is rather churlish.

Good that the lux group accepted energy measurements - nice grid

Loved the travolta crossover. Unfair to criticise you for acceptable answers when you used the most efficient form of correct term- if people haven't heard of it they haven't heard of it, it's part of the challenge!
(5 years, 1 month ago)
Ben
Pers found easy, but definitely my absolute fave so far. Thanks!
(5 years, 1 month ago)

Didn't know plummer, so ran out of time sorting them and the 'park' ones, then got pulp fiction but still couldn't get park. Genuinely South Park on in the background. Fun

Grr. Got all the answers right but only one I managed to list in a way that was wanted. Otherwise a pretty fun and decent grid. I liked the flux group particularly and was delighted to spot that set second.
(4 years, 10 months ago)
physicist
Flux is not a unit, it's a quantity analogous to current, voltage or power.
(4 years, 10 months ago)
JM
Physicist, perhaps you should reread the answer. Lux is certainly a unit, lumen/meter^2. Although, I absolutely agree flux is not a unit

That was tough. I knew there was a five connection, I knew there was a pulp fiction connection and I knew there was a park connection, but I couldn't work out what went with what! And then I put actors instead of pulp fiction. Pfft. That was excellent!
I didn't know what Jurassic 5 was, which royally screwed me.
(4 years, 9 months ago)
Mike
Very nicely put together; enjoyed this.
(4 years, 9 months ago)
NikkiT
Ahh, the final group...I couldn’t word the connection correctly!
(4 years, 9 months ago)
KC
Saw a Five connection and an Actors connection, but missed the groups because I've never heard of Jurassic Five. Only got 3 points (2 from parks) in the end. Fiendishly difficult, and the units was brilliant
(4 years, 8 months ago)
Neil
TraVOLTa great herring. Got it with a minute to go but the units almost got me
(4 years, 7 months ago)
Andrew
Travlota really got me, my word. Great grid
(4 years, 6 months ago)
Andrew (Andy)
Also whats ben folds five? haha
(4 years, 6 months ago)
Kuba
Got the groups, but listed them as Tarantino actors and Energy something (sorry, not good with the lingo). The listings were really specific! That's nice, though. Just wish I had a Victoria Coren standing next to me telling me she needed something 'a bit more specific'
(4 years, 6 months ago)

Jurassic 5 was a great red herring. Wow SI unit was a good one, I never see ones like that, great.
