Well, it was a valiant and enjoyable effort. You must have had one on the construction line as otherwise you knocked that up very quickly.

Nicely Done! I got 7/10, and in the fourth group was trying to work out the clues around fin, but the fourth letter eluded me.

Great, but took me so long to read all the clues I had to start again and I still only had 11 seconds left after solving. The centre of Offaly is FA or the gap between F and A, which delayed me a little.

Okay - I have issue with this grid. An ape is NOT a monkey. A person from Finland is a Finn, not a Fin. Interesting try - but doesn't work.

Okay, ignore my previous post. I've changed my mind, and no longer want to see this kind of grid.

Ach, this one was annoying, because I had to take points away from myself. I technically guessed the "Barton" line correctly, but because I hadn't really understood the clues, I decided that if I was actually a contestant on OC, Victoria would not have given me the points. Therefore I didn't feel that I could give them to myself. So I got 7.

A nicely challenging version. This style has also been practiced earlier and in several incarnations so Stjohn's is a welcome take on the style too.
