Hi St John, gave this one a little go as I thought it’d be rude just to message about f1 without doing a grid. Enjoyed this. Got them all apart from the ador link but you know I’m never good at the wordy ones.

So, final race of the season and they’re showing it on ch4 now! Going to be exciting! Will they crash?! Who’ll win?! Who do I even want to win?! I just hope it’s a close, edge of your seat finale!

Hi Fam - rooting for Hamilton just so he can get his 8th. Getting tyred of Max's whinging, but he is quality and ruthless, Schumacheresque, iF Hamilton gets through the first corners unscathed, then job done - but its a big IF. A must watch race - enjoy!

Haha St John, I have only just this minute finished reading the qualifying commentary on the F1 website. Aaarghh, I just don't know. I was glad Verstappen got pole though as the mix up with the tyres, and the overall mix on the starting grid with Bottas down in 6th is going to make for an interesting start and race. I think if Ham had got pole there would be a good chance he'd win and that would be boring.
Should be an exciting start and first corner! Will Verstappen get away on the softs, will they tussle at the corner, will Norris keep out of the way ( I love Norris ), what strategies will come into play??!! I just hope it lasts the distance and we're kept on the edge of our seats 'til the end 🙂

REALLY sorry Ace ( that is a genuine apology ). I sent that before I saw your comment. I haven't got a sky package either but was too impatient to wait for the ch4 highlights tonight so followed the free live commentary on the F1 website instead. Hopefully you stopped reading as soon as you saw the subject matter. Great that Sky are letting Ch4 show it live tomorrow. Who are you rooting for?

I didn't read any more comments until this morning, just in case. Yeah, eventful, for sure. I'm hoping that starting on the softs will make Max vulnerable later in the race, assuming that he gets away at the start.

WOW - WOW STINKS! Bring on 2022 and Russell?

Well, no one could have predicted that! I know there’s a lot of controversy re not letting all the lapped cars through but it did make for a very exciting end and to be honest I was glad as mid race it was all very inevitable and had become quite dull. To finish a final under a safety car would have been very anticlimactic.
Bring on 2022 and more close racing! I’m going to try to see a race in person next year. Have you ever attended?
