Way too convoluted, not the original formula.

Enjoyed this one, first confetti of the day (after trying a few). With a comfortable amount of time left on the clock, so I don't agree that it is too convoluted, I thought it was a nice idea and the right amount of challenging. I like the ones that are more about finding a clever pattern than about obscure knowledge. Thanks!

PS Also I really like that people are getting creative with the formula, it keeps things interesting, and this one is hardly out there compared to what gridposters have come up with before. If you think this is convoluted, try one of the cryptic, picture, rebus, emoji or music ones :) Long live puzzgrid in all its forms.
