I don't see the point of dropping the 'er' from the clothes - seems arbitrary, unless the idea is that 'Jump' might be mistaken for a horse gait. And 'leaving out letters' only (slightly) works when the new words are plausible words by themselves and not obviously crippled words. Also basically no overlap between categories.

I think dropping the er is great as it confuses you because of the Soviet group. What exactly is a crippled word? All the words that are formed are plausible. It's a good grid, a little on the easy side if anything as I got full marks in less than a minute but there's nice misdirection and crossover and the groups are pretty unique. Well done!
