I don't get it. I got 10/10 by just ignoring one of the words in each clue. Is the other word in each a meaningless red herring?

Sorry, that it is not good. This was just an idea I had for grid. Had no idea whether it would be good or bad. It was about figuring out the connections where there was 4 words. There were fake connections of 3s and 2s to make it harder. Sorry again.

Simon, don't apologise because one or two people give negative comments. You have found a new way to distact the solver and some don't like it. Well, that's their problem, not yours. As I see it, this grid has 32 words and we have to find 4 groups of 4. A clever idea on how to use the Puzzgrid format in a new way. Keep those variations coming. Well done.
