@Nikki - I often have the opposite gripe. If they are synonyms then nothing else needs adding. It’s not reasonable to expect anyone to guess which fifth synonym the grid writer had in mind

I’ve too often been marked wrong because I used a perfectly good fifth synonym the writer hadn’t thought of - nor is it reasonable to expect a grid writer to think of every possibly synonym

Synonyms are synonyms of each other by definition and no more should ever be required

So I applaud Eidya for being sensible
