I think it needs to accept bird sounds really

Otherwise a nice easy one to start the day :)

I’m surprised to see this grid rated with only three stars and as hard

It took me under 90 seconds and I got all the connections (awarding myself the bird sounds) - that’s my criteria for one star difficulty - ie very easy

It had a number of valid overlaps but only one valid solution - nothing contrived and nothing hugely niche - so minimum 4 stars from me ( 5 stars needs an undefined something extra - this would have been 9/10 if that was an option )

This was a classic good grid with all the right elements - very enjoyable and well constructed

This was also a stinker!! But i did much better on this grid, good red herrings, couple of subjects were good for me, very enjoyable.
