very good puzzle. i was able to work out the tastes and the rock bands pretty quick, and then spent the next 150 seconds staring confused. the 'pop' category is on me for not getting it. the melons seem a bit opaque. but hey, its a fiendish puzzle all right! 4.5 stars

Enjoyed this puzzle! Not sure about the melon category, a bit esoteric for me, but can't hold one category or my lack of horticultural knowledge against the puzzle! Especially one with Poison AND Warrant in it!!

It’s not fun when the categories are all obscure or not common knowledge. Turns it into a trivia game. Melons you can’t get at a grocery store. Glam bands that aren’t all widely known. You’re out of luck if you’re not a melon connoisseur or glam rock isn’t your thing. It just makes it impossible unless you’re a trivia junkie.
